How this stage fits

What this stage means

Start with the treatment explanation already in Happy Feet, then use the practical guidance below to prepare for your child's care.

Bracing and relapse

Even after a successful initial correction, clubfoot can recur as a child grows. Staying with the prescribed maintenance plan and follow-up gives the clinical team the best opportunity to maintain correction and respond early if concerns appear.

Maintenance and follow-up

Follow-up continues while your child grows

Treatment does not end when casting ends. Bracing according to your child's plan and continued follow-up help the clinical team maintain correction and discuss concerns as your child grows.

Happy Feet cannot diagnose relapse from photos or symptoms alone. If you notice a change or are concerned about the foot or brace, discuss it with your child's treating clinician.
